| I'm a huge fan and supporter of LLV and MaW. Thus CD is a compilation of King Street tracks and I found the tracks to be average. It's not your normal LLV CD/production but if you are a die hard LLV and MaW fan then pick up this CD. Otherwise I would rate this as average and nothing special. However, I am a big supporter of King Street and Mr. V so I had to pick up this CD but already had all the tracks on this CD. There are about 6 hot tracks (in total) if that is of help. A must have for King Street, LLV, and MaW fans. I would rate this as a 3 (out of 5) compared to other solid house CD's. |

As always Louie Vega compiles an excellent selection of tracks to mix. This CD was a good compliment to Larry Levan and the Paradise Garage. I'm guessing if the Garage was still open...this would be some of the trax that would we would be dancing to. Of course with Larry's spin of things. Vega has always paid attention of our DJ legends and is becoming a living legend in the DJ world himself. Keep up the good work.

I have bought so many albums, compilations and other Dance oriented endeavours always featuring at least one track from an artist known at the time as "Lil Louie Vega". This is the first mix I have bought by DJ Louie Vega. A MASTERPIECE. If New York has a soul it belongs to Mr. Vega. DEEP does not even begin to reach the description of what this man has given us from his reading of the urban experience. His talent is the essance of the Culture. I am proud to say I know what Dance music is because of what he has put forth in this mix.
It is deep, it is soulful, it is something to party to again and again. |
