The dvd was the best part for the smart 4 and 7 year old kids I gifted this set to. I figure they can grow into the music, now its mostly fun songs for them. Hoping they will soak up the science lessons through the sounds.
They liked the dvd, I think now that they-e watched it the cd will be fun to put on in the car.

Great music, good fun. Highly recommend!
    LOVE this album!2010-07-245 / 5
As a mom, an engineer, TMBG fan, and an all around geek, I LOVE this album. I'm so happy my son (21 months) also loves the album -- he cries when we turn it off. My favs are Shooting Star, Roy G Biv, The Elements.... I could go on and on. Love all the songs on this album. IT's something both my son and I can enjoy, which is a rarity with kid's albums. Hope the Johns have another science album in them!!
    A kids CD that's science teacher approved!2010-07-225 / 5
Being a middle school science teacher, I have always loved TMBG due to their ability to mix rock with scientific topics. I had been using "Why does the Sun Shine" in my classroom for years. Now they have a great collection of songs that my one-year-old can enjoy bopping to while Mom & Dad sing in the car. They are not redundant beats that are mind numbing; each song has a melody that is very different from the last.

I like that the songs are actually scientifically correct and not just mumbo-jumbo (that's a scientific term for crap. I know it might be a bit much for my little one just yet- but at least when she starts remembering the lyrics she will be remembering correct information.

As a bonus if you get the CD/DVD version you get videos that are downloadable for each song. These are GREAT little music videos that are animated and colorful. I especially love "Meet the Elements" which I show to my 8th graders when we begin our unit on the Periodic Table. Even kids who are 13 think its pretty fun.
    Their strongest children's album yet.2010-07-145 / 5
This is a wonderful album, TMBG's strongest children's album to date. As well as being an admirer of the band myself, my two daughters, aged six and four absolutely love the music and DVDs of the ABCs and 123s. We recently went to see them in concert in London, and the whole experience was perfect for the little ones, and us too as parents. If you haven't heard their previous children's albums, they are highly recommended.

This time with Here Comes Science, the band have excelled themselves. The melodies are wonderful and the lyrics are both intelligent, humorous and educational, without them being too forced or clever simply for the sake of it.

The accompanying animated DVD is better than ever; the quality and variety of the different videos is even greater than before, especially on songs like Electric Car which look stunning. It was good to see the house style returning for the animations for ROY G. BIV and The Bloodmobile too; and our only disappointment was not seeing the Deeply Felt Puppets once again who featured so memorably on the ABCs and 123s.

Overall, this is lovely collection of songs that you and your children will grow to love very quickly. It's light years ahead of the usual children's or TV themes music: These are properly composed songs in a variety of genres and the band deserve another Grammy for their work here.

Bravo John and John! Please can we have Here Come The Arts next?
    Awesome!2010-07-125 / 5
I have a 4 year old who now knows what a meteor is, a paleontologist and more. This cd is great (as well as the dvd) for entertainment and education. We listen to this in the car and I stop the songs and we talk about rainbows, dna, etc. I am a high school physics teacher and know how crucial it is to get kids interested in science early and this dvd/cd does this. I would recommend Here Comes Science to everyone with a kid. Also, it is catchy and entertaining for me, so I can listen to this while in the car without going crazy!
